10 nights maximum
An important rule: limit per guest.
10 nights in six consecutive months.
To ensure fair availability and preserve the tourist and short-term nature of the accommodation, the limit is 10 nights per guest in any six-month period. All nights are counted. Ambiente Hostel even for separate bookings, with gaps between stays, or through different platforms.
For example: if you stay 6 nights and return for another 4 within that period, you reach the limit. Making a new reservation or changing platforms does not reset the count.
Reservations exceeding this limit may be refused or cancelled, according to the booking conditions and the rules of the platform used. If you have any questions before booking, please contact us.
Arrive and settle in.
Check-in starts at 3 PM. Early check-in is possible from 10 AM, if a room or bed is available. From 10 AM, you can leave your luggage and wait in the common areas. If needed, we can provide a clean towel free of charge upon arrival.
After 8 PM, including after midnight, check-in is by self-service, with the reservation paid in advance. Please inform us of your expected arrival time. Instructions are sent on the day of arrival, before reception closes, and are available on our app.

Reservations and payments
The total amount of the reservation will be charged as a deposit to the provided credit card after booking. If the reservation has not been paid online, the full amount must be settled upon arrival. We accept credit cards and cash, in euros only.

Age and dormitory
Children under 12 are not allowed. Guests aged 12 to 17 must be accompanied by an adult.
Our dormitory is mixed. Bed selection is not guaranteed and it is not possible to reserve a lower bed.

Rest areas and common spaces
We are in a residential building. Please keep quiet between 10 PM and 7 AM, including hallways and entrances.
The kitchen and common areas are available 24 hours a day, respecting the rest of other guests. Please leave the spaces and utensils clean after use.

Clothing and laundry
We do not have a laundry service. Washing or hanging personal clothing in the hostel is not permitted.
It is expressly forbidden to place or hang wet clothes on furniture, beds, chairs, or in common areas. Humidity can damage the furniture and hinder the use of the spaces by other guests.
For washing and drying clothes, please use an external laundry facility. A nearby option is Lava Mais — Anjos, Avenida Almirante Reis 74B.

Respect the common areas and leave them clean, tidy, and in the same condition you found them, so that the next guest can use them in the same way.
Always shower with the curtain closed to avoid water on the floor and outside the shower area. After using the bathroom, leave the space clean and report any problems you find to the staff.

Kitchen and dishes
Each guest is responsible for the dishes and utensils they use. Wash, dry, and put everything away after use and clean the surfaces used.
Do not leave dirty dishes in the kitchen or scattered around the hostel. We do not provide dishwashing services for guests. If you leave dishes unwashed or out of place, the staff will ask you to wash and put them away.

Notices and future stays
The team issues warnings when these rules regarding cleanliness, use of spaces, and coexistence are not followed. If you receive a warning, correct the situation and avoid repeating it.
After three warnings for non-compliance, the Ambiente Hostel The hotel may refuse future stays from that guest. This rule does not replace the immediate measures provided for serious situations or those that jeopardize the safety or rest of others.

Smoking is prohibited inside the hostel and on the balconies. If you wish to smoke, please go outside the building

Visits
Visits are only permitted in the reception area, between 10:00 AM and 8:00 PM.
After 8:00 PM, a visitor is considered an overnight guest: registration is required, and an adult supplement and tourist tax per person per night will be charged. Please speak to the staff before receiving a visitor who intends to stay.

Luggage, keys and precautions
Take care of your personal belongings and valuables. We provide lockers for all guests. Ambiente Hostel We assume no responsibility for loss, theft, or damage to guests’ belongings, regardless of the cause, without prejudice to applicable legal liability.
Clean bed linen and towels are provided free of charge to all guests. Current policy stipulates that guests are responsible for making their own beds.

Coexistence and safety

- Fraud or attempted deception of the establishment;
- Refusal to pay;
- Obstructive, aggressive, inappropriate, or disruptive behavior towards guests or staff;
- Defamatory behavior, threats of false reviews, or attempts to manipulate reputation to obtain undue benefits;
- Behavior that compromises harmony or safety;
- Participation in illegal activities;
- Exceeding the cumulative limit of 10 nights in six consecutive months.

By completing your booking, you agree that we may contact you by email or SMS with essential information for your stay: check-in instructions, baggage access, schedule changes, and other relevant details.
These communications are strictly operational and necessary for your arrival and stay. We do not send marketing messages. The contact number provided is used only for matters related to your booking, in accordance with our privacy policy.
