Your first decision after landing can be a simple one. To reach Ambiente Hostel from Lisbon Airport, combine the Red and Green Metro lines, or take a taxi or an app-booked ride to the building. The most comfortable choice depends on your arrival time, luggage and how you feel about changing trains after a flight.

Save the full address: Avenida Almirante Reis, 86, 3rd floor, 1150-021 Lisboa. The Ambiente guest app has your check-in form, our location and practical information for your stay.

By Metro: Airport, Alameda and Anjos

The route is straightforward when services are running normally. The Aeroporto Metro station is beside Terminal 1. Follow the Metro signs and check for service changes before travelling.

  1. Take the Red line towards São Sebastião.
  2. Change at Alameda for the Green line, staying inside the ticket gates.
  3. On the Green line, travel towards Arroios and Anjos, and get off at Anjos.
  4. At street level, use our location in the app to walk to number 86 on Avenida Almirante Reis.

You do not need to leave Alameda station to change lines. Keep the ticket or card you used to enter until you finish the journey. Check the official Anjos station information for entrances and any disruption before choosing your exit.

Tickets and opening hours

The Metro accepts a valid navegante card loaded with an appropriate ticket, or contactless bank-card payment. Choose one method and follow the operator's validation instructions; do not switch between cards or devices during the journey. The Metro's passenger information explains the available options. Check the current fares rather than relying on an old screenshot.

Normal operating hours are 6:30am to 1am every day. A flight landing shortly before closing does not guarantee enough time to collect luggage, enter the station and change lines. For a late arrival, have a car option in mind. Check the official timetable and line status on the day you travel.

Taxi or an app-booked ride

A car can be easier with heavy bags, several travellers or an arrival outside Metro hours. Use the official taxi rank, or request your ride in the relevant app and follow the airport signs to its collection point. Avoid accepting unsolicited transport offers inside the terminal.

Give the driver the complete address, including the building number. In a taxi, check the meter and ask for a receipt; with a ride app, confirm the vehicle and displayed fare before accepting. Traffic and demand affect the cost and journey time, so this guide does not promise a fixed fare. See the airport's official transport information before leaving.

Arriving early or after 8pm

Reception is open from 10am to 8pm. Rooms are ready from 3pm, and free luggage storage is available from 10am. During reception hours, please stop by the team first so we can welcome you and give you your key or tag.

If you have not arrived by 8pm, we send separate self-check-in instructions, including your room details, to the email address you provided. Self-check-in is only available once the booking holder has completed the mandatory form. Complete it before flying and check your email address carefully. The app brings together access information; private reservation details are not published in this guide.

A few minutes of preparation

Before leaving the airport, make sure you have battery power, access to your email and the address saved. Load the location while you have a connection if you will not be using mobile data. If accessibility or carrying your luggage could be a concern, contact us before travelling so we can explain the practical arrangements.

Open the Ambiente app to complete check-in and read your current arrival instructions. Once your bags are down, explore Anjos, Arroios and Intendente, or choose an idea from Explore Lisbon. There is no need to start sightseeing before you have settled in.
