A private room in a hostel can be a good choice for those who want to sleep in a private space while still having a shared living experience. But the term “private room” doesn’t describe everything. Before booking, it’s worth confirming the bathroom, bed configuration, comfort, and check-in procedures.
Node Ambiente Hostel In Lisbon, we have private rooms and a mixed dormitory. The choice depends on who you’re traveling with and the privacy you’re looking for, without losing access to shared spaces.
The bedroom is private. The bathrooms are shared.
This is the most important information: all the bathrooms in Ambiente Bathrooms are shared, including for guests in private rooms. If you absolutely need a bathroom inside the room, this is not the right type of accommodation for your trip.
If, on the other hand, you prefer having a private room for yourself or the people you’re traveling with and are comfortable with shared bathrooms, you can explore the different options in the hostel’s gallery. The photos and descriptions will help you choose with clear expectations.
Which room to choose?
The categories include Queen, King, Twin, Triple, Double Economy, Double with balcony and Exterior Room The names indicate different options: always confirm the configuration and availability at the time of booking, rather than assuming that all double rooms have the same space or amenities.
Are you traveling in a group of three? Start by checking the Triple Do you want to compare options for two people? Open the photos of Queen, King, Twin and the rooms Double To understand which environment you prefer. Choosing a room should consider the group and comfort, in addition to the main photograph.

Heating in winter and air conditioning in summer.
All rooms have heating for the winter. Air conditioning for the summer is available in the following categories. Queen, King, Triple and Double With a balcony. This is not included in all categories, so please confirm this if it is important for your stay.
In Lisbon, the time of year can greatly influence your choice. Don’t use the presence of air conditioning in a photograph or description of another room as an indication that all rooms have the same equipment.
Common areas: the other part of the experience
Staying in a hostel can also mean preparing a meal in the kitchen and spending some time in the common areas. You can gather ideas for the next day, meet other people, or simply relax between sightseeing trips.
